About the role#
This internship provides an opportunity for students in the John Deere Ag Tech program to gain hands-on experience in the service department. You will work alongside technicians to learn about the dealership environment while completing service-related projects. The program combines classroom learning with practical shop work.
What you'll do#
- Perform basic diagnostics and repairs on agricultural and turf equipment.
- Shadow experienced personnel to learn service department operations.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of John Deere and competitive products.
- Complete all required service reports and documentation.
- Track your time and materials used for every task on your time card.
- Participate in Service EDUCATE training programs to build your technical skills.
What you'll need#
- A High School Diploma or equivalent experience.
- Enrollment in an AAS Degree program for John Deere Tech.
- Proficient knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
- Ability to lift at least 75 lbs. repeatedly.
- A valid driver's license.
- Ability to operate vehicles and equipment for diagnostic work.

- Term: Rolling.
- Compensation: $22 per hour for the first year, increasing to $24 per hour for the second year.
