About the role#
This internship with the Project Rebound (PROS) program offers a chance to build counseling and group facilitation skills. You will work within a community mental health setting to support participants in their recovery and goal setting.
What you'll do#
- Facilitate weekly groups and develop group curriculums.
- Manage a caseload of 3 to 5 participants.
- Help participants set goals and develop relevant skills.
- Provide outreach, including crisis intervention and prevention.
- Administer assessment inventories.
- Engage participants in PROS services and connect them with community resources.
- Document all services and contacts daily in the electronic health record.
- Coordinate with other community mental health providers on a monthly basis.
- Share participant updates with the PROS team.
- Participate in staff meetings and case conferences.
- Maintain participant confidentiality according to HIPAA regulations.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an accredited Master's program, preferably in Psychology.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work well in a team.
- A flexible, creative, and energetic approach to work.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- A willingness to learn.
