Group Sales Intern - Fall 2026

About the role#

This internship provides applied experience within the Group Sales department at Georgia Aquarium. You will support the sales process by assisting with trade shows, customer sales calls, and leading tours of the facility. You will also serve as a primary point of contact for client inquiries and gain exposure to the aquarium's educational programs, special events, and animal interactive programs.

What you'll do#

• Provide support to the Group Sales team across all aspects of the sales process.
• Assist the Coordinator and Assistant Manager with incoming calls, emails, and Salesforce lead assignments.
• Manage the distribution of marketing materials to external outlets.
• Perform administrative tasks including mail runs and office supply orders.
• Support Sales Managers during department events.
• Develop and present a project focused on targeting a new group sales market.
• Participate in internal courses to expand knowledge of aquarium operations.

What you'll need#

• Current pursuit of or interest in a degree related to marketing, business administration, communications, human resources, event management, or hospitality.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
• Availability to work a varying schedule of 3-4 days per week (20-24 hours total), which may include weekends and holidays.
