Event Sales & Services Intern - Fall 2026

About the role#

This internship provides hands-on experience in event management at the Georgia Aquarium. You will participate in a three-part program designed to progress from shadowing coordinators to leading events. The role covers a variety of functions, including social gatherings, corporate parties, galas, and non-profit fundraisers.

What you'll do#

• Shadow Event Services staff through all phases of event planning, setup, execution, and breakdown.
• Coordinate with catering captains to manage event timelines and day-of run-throughs.
• Assist with client and vendor interactions and oversee event volunteers.
• Support the team with daily administrative and office tasks.

What you'll need#

• Current enrollment or interest in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, Public Health, event management, hospitality, or a related field.
• Minimum age of 21.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
