About the role#
This is a 15-week part-time, on-site internship based in our Chicago office. You will work directly with our systems support team to gain hands-on experience in desktop and general IT support within the trading industry. You will learn from experienced IT professionals and receive mentorship throughout the program. This role offers a flexible schedule to accommodate your academic commitments.
What you'll do#
- Respond to hardware and software support issues for Microsoft Office applications, phones, voicemail, and printers.
- Use AI tools like ChatGPT and Microsoft Copilot to troubleshoot, research solutions, and improve help desk efficiency.
- Assist in supporting and troubleshooting enterprise AI features for internal staff.
- Set up, configure, and install new workstations and monitors.
- Install applications and manage user accounts.
- Track and update IT inventory.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an associate or bachelor degree program in Information Technology or a related field.
- Experience with troubleshooting, basic networking, and Windows OS.
- A foundational understanding of Generative AI and an interest in how it changes IT operations.
- Strong customer service skills and general hardware knowledge.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Experience with application support and hardware builds is preferred.
- Prior experience using AI for scripting or task automation is a plus.
- Preference for candidates with prior experience in Help Desk, Desktop Support, or End User Support.
- Project management experience is preferred.
