About the role#
Genesis Molecular AI is hiring a Software Engineer Intern for Summer 2027. You will join our AI department in San Mateo to help build our software platform for drug discovery. This is a full-time, paid, on-site role.
What you'll do#
- Build and expand tools for visualizing proteins and molecules.
- Analyze machine learning models and manage complex chemical workflows.
- Collaborate with medicinal chemists and machine learning engineers to create and productionize computational methods for molecular property prediction.
- Scale core infrastructure to process billions of datapoints.
- Manage thousands of parallel molecular dynamics and deep learning jobs.
What you'll need#
- Strong software engineering skills with the ability to write code quickly.
- Commitment to maintaining high code quality standards.
- Ability to reason from first principles.
- Interest in biochemistry and the drug development process.
