About the role#
This internship is a chance to work as a full member of our research team. You will drive a research project focused on generative modeling for molecular systems. You will be paired with a mentor to work on high-impact research at the frontier of generative AI. Your work will involve developing advancements for foundation models, with potential projects in diffusion models, reinforcement learning, or multi-modal learning.
What you'll do#
- Lead a research project from ideation to conclusion.
- Focus on a critical challenge in generative or predictive AI for molecular systems.
- Engage with literature on foundation models to push the research frontier.
- Develop new methods in areas such as diffusion or reinforcement learning.
- Design and run experiments at scale to test hypotheses.
- Present your work to the team and contribute insights to our research agenda.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a PhD program in Computer Science, Machine Learning, or a related field.
- A strong background in machine learning and deep learning.
- Ability to think from first principles when tackling open-ended scientific problems.
- Curiosity about the intersection of AI and biochemistry.
- Interest in learning about the drug discovery process.
