About the role#
Genesis Hospitality is seeking a Product Management and Merchandising Intern for the Winter 2027 term. You will work directly with the Director of Business Development to support the creation and management of a new retail product line for our French bakery. This is an on-site, full-time position based in Hamilton, New Jersey, and must be completed for academic credit.
What you'll do#
- Help conceptualize, brand, and manufacture new retail bakery products.
- Research competitor pricing and market trends to inform our strategy.
- Track product inventory and analyze sales reports with the Business Development team.
- Create and update training manuals for bakery staff regarding product details.
- Coordinate with the Marketing department on branding, advertising, and product displays.
- Plan the retail store layout to improve the customer shopping experience.
- Participate in meetings with international vendors.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited college pursuing a degree in Business Administration, Marketing, International Business, or Retail Management.
- Ability to receive academic credit for this internship.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills with high attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- A professional image for in-person and phone interactions.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
- Chinese language skills are a plus.
