About the role#
This summer internship provides experience within the Operations Finance team at General Motors. You will work on assignments that support core business areas such as sales, product development, manufacturing, and supply chain. This is a full-time, 12-week program designed to develop your skills in financial analysis and strategy.
What you'll do#
- Take ownership of a strategic project that impacts the business.
- Receive mentorship from finance leaders and peers.
- Gain exposure to executives across the finance organization.
- Develop professional skills in Power BI, AI, financial analysis, and storytelling.
- Participate in case competitions, leadership forums, and networking events.
What you'll need#
- Pursuit of a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
- Graduation date between December 2027 and June 2029.
- Ability to work 40 hours per week for the full 12-week duration.
- Demonstrated leadership in your field of study, extra-curricular activities, or service organizations.
- Ability to communicate effectively and work through ambiguity.
- Strong Excel skills and an understanding of financial metrics like ROI, NPV, and IRR.
- Note that this role does not offer immigration sponsorship.

- Location: Warren, Michigan.
- Work arrangement: Hybrid, with a minimum of three days per week on-site.
- Term: Summer 2027, starting in May or June.
- Status: Paid, full-time internship.
