About the role#
This internship provides an opportunity to apply classroom knowledge to programs supporting national defense. You will work within the Software Engineering group on projects of low to medium complexity, receiving supervision from a lead and peer reviews from team members. This position offers a chance to gain experience in end user product development while working alongside experienced engineers.
What you'll do#
- Participate in requirements analysis, functional analysis, design, integration, and verification of software.
- Collaborate with team members to develop software design, code, and unit tests using languages such as C, C++, Python, and Rust.
- Communicate with project leaders to provide status updates and discuss technical issues.
- Interact with other engineering and manufacturing groups as needed.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an accredited degree program in Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- A standing of sophomore or higher is preferred.
- A thorough understanding of engineering technology.
- U.S. citizenship is required for this role.
