About the role#
As an Engineering Intern at General Dynamics Mission Systems, you will join the Smart Munitions team within our Advanced Electronics Systems group. You will work on a cross-functional team to support defense programs. This role focuses on the system design and analysis of software components for complex GPS and Navigation systems.
What you'll do#
- Apply your classroom knowledge to real-world defense programs.
- Collaborate with technical teams on project tasks.
- Contribute to CONOPS, requirements definition, and software modeling.
- Assist with the analysis, design, integration, testing, and verification of systems.
- Utilize skills in embedded software, automated testing, or programming languages like C, C++, and Python if applicable.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an accredited degree program for Computer, Systems, Software, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- Preference for students with sophomore standing or higher.
- A thorough understanding of engineering technology and software development processes.
- Ability to learn new information quickly and handle increasing project complexity.
- U.S. citizenship is required for this position.
