About the role#
This is a co-op position for the Winter 2027 term, running for 8 to 16 months. You will join our engineering teams in either Calgary or Ottawa to gain hands-on experience with the product development lifecycle. You will work directly with engineers, project managers, and suppliers to manage technical information, materials, and project deliverables.
What you'll do#
- Support engineering teams by coordinating technical information, equipment, and project deliverables.
- Assist with procurement by reviewing requirements, coordinating RFQs, and tracking materials.
- Maintain engineering parts, bills of material, and product structures within PDM/PLM systems.
- Review engineering documentation and requests to ensure accuracy and alignment with processes.
- Support configuration management, engineering changes, export compliance, and equipment tracking.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to resolve issues and keep activities moving.
- Track project schedules, milestones, and action items.
- Participate in technical meetings to capture key decisions and follow up on tasks.
- Assist with engineering reviews and milestone activities.
- Create and maintain engineering reports and trackers.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an Engineering or STEM post-secondary program.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining accurate records.
- Ability to learn new engineering processes and systems.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with engineers, project managers, and vendors.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to follow established processes.
- Experience with PLM/PDM systems, procurement, material management, or project coordination is an asset.
- Familiarity with AI/ML models is preferred.
- Must be eligible to work in Canada.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Canadian government security clearance.

- Compensation: $24.92 - $33.23 per hour, with eligibility for quarterly pay increases.
