About the role#
This is a 10-week paid, full-time internship for Summer 2027. You will work alongside GDIT professionals to deliver solutions for clients. The program includes professional development, interaction with company leaders, and participation in a mentoring circle. You will also collaborate with peers to research and propose solutions to a specific business challenge.
What you'll do#
- Develop agentic solutions to answer business questions and perform actions across enterprise information sources.
- Create standalone proxy services for LLM implementation.
- Contribute to a managed service that includes detection, monitoring, security, and FinOps features.
- Adhere to consistent governance and management standards for AI/ML implementations.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an associate, bachelor, or master degree program in computer science, IT, engineering, or another STEM field at a United States college or university.
- At least one semester of study remaining after the internship concludes.
- Basic understanding of data cleaning, exploratory analysis, statistical methods, and machine learning principles.
- Knowledge of Python, SQL, statistical techniques, and machine learning algorithms.
- Experience working in a collaborative team environment.
- Ability to explain technical challenges and solutions clearly.
- Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office products including Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Excel, and Teams.
- Interest in big data, data pipelines, containerization, and AI/ML governance.
