About the role#
As a Software Engineering Intern, you will work on real technical projects that mirror the responsibilities of a full-time Associate Engineer. You will solve complex coding problems and help design, build, and test distributed real-time systems for our trading tools and risk applications. This role offers an inside look at our culture and business through direct mentorship and collaboration with our technology team.
What you'll do#
- Deliver a technical project that has a direct impact on our systems.
- Participate in a one-week Trading Basics class, mock trading sessions, quant classes, and trading desk shadows.
- Receive regular mentorship and have weekly one-on-one meetings with your manager to track your progress.
- Attend planned social activities and talks from business leaders to build your professional network.
What you'll need#
- Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a similar technical field.
- Experience with Java, C++, or Python.
- A solid foundation in data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented programming.
- An interest in learning about technology, trading, pricing, and risk management.
- A demonstrated record of success in academics or other activities.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a collaborative team.
- Willingness to relocate to New York, NY for the summer.
- Eligibility to work in the United States, including those requiring visa sponsorship.
