About the role#
GEICO is seeking a Human Resources Intern for a 10-week summer program. This role offers exposure to various HR disciplines, including Learning and Leadership Development, Compensation and Benefits, Diversity and Inclusion, Associate Engagement, and Talent Acquisition. You will join high-performing teams to gain hands-on experience and build foundational business acumen.
What you'll do#
- Contribute to strategic projects that support the Associate Value Proposition.
- Engage in leadership sessions and participate in professional development and social events.
- Receive mentorship from peers and senior leaders.
- Develop skills in project management, decision making, and communication.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Business, HR, Management, Education, Leadership Development, Business Analytics, Humanities, Communications, or a related field.
- Expected graduation date of May 2028.
- A cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- Demonstrated interest in the HR or business field through student organizations, SHRM certification, or other relevant engagement.
- Prior leadership experience involving conflict resolution, data-driven decision making, or motivating a group.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, time management, and organizational skills.
- Previous internship experience in HR or a related field is preferred.

- Location: Bethesda, Maryland.
- Term: Summer 2027 (June 7 to August 13).
- Work Modality: Hybrid (must live within a commutable distance of the Bethesda office).
