About the role#
GCA is looking for a Recruiting Intern to manage daily hiring activities and support the talent acquisition team. You will handle core tasks like sourcing, screening, and scheduling to keep our hiring process moving. This role provides direct exposure to human resources and recruiting functions in a government contracting environment.
What you'll do#
- Manage candidate sourcing, screening, and outreach for open roles.
- Review resumes to identify qualified candidates based on specific requirements.
- Coordinate and schedule interviews between candidates and hiring managers.
- Maintain accurate candidate records in the applicant tracking system.
- Create and manage job postings across various boards and social platforms.
- Communicate directly with candidates throughout the hiring lifecycle.
- Support recruiting events, career fairs, and branding initiatives.
- Document recruiting activities and follow standard procedures.
- Ensure a professional and positive experience for all candidates.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a bachelor degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or Communications.
- Strong interest in talent acquisition or human resources.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and meet deadlines.
- Professional demeanor and the ability to handle confidential information.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office or Google Workspace.
- Familiarity with applicant tracking systems is a plus.
- Proven experience as a Help Desk Analyst or in Customer Service Support.
