About the role#
As a Roadway Engineering Intern, you will join our team to support real client projects. You will work alongside experienced engineers and professionals who provide guidance and mentorship throughout the program. This is a full-time, paid internship.
What you'll do#
- Create engineering and construction drawings using MicroStation or AutoCAD.
- Perform fundamental engineering tasks, including basic calculations and data entry into analysis software.
- Participate in field assignments, such as roadway and highway inspections.
- Support project phases by reviewing drawings, proofreading reports, and assisting with general engineering tasks.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an ABET-accredited undergraduate or graduate program in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- Interest or prior experience in roadway and highway engineering, including design, inspection, and construction.
- Proficiency in CAD software, such as AutoCAD or MicroStation.
- Experience with engineering analysis and design software like Civil 3D and HEC-RAS.
- Ability to work with spreadsheets, interpret design drawings, and handle technical writing.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a willingness to learn from experienced team members.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.

- Compensation: $21.00 - $28.00 per hour, depending on experience and location.
