About the role#
We are looking for a Roadway Engineering Intern to join our team in Pittsburgh. This is a paid, full-time position that offers hands-on experience with transportation infrastructure projects. You will work alongside experienced engineers who provide mentorship and guidance throughout your internship.
What you'll do#
- Create engineering and construction drawings using MicroStation or AutoCAD.
- Conduct basic engineering calculations and input data into analysis software.
- Participate in field assignments, including inspections of roadways and highways.
- Review project drawings and proofread technical reports.
- Perform general engineering support tasks as needed.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an ABET-accredited undergraduate or graduate program in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- Demonstrated interest or prior internship experience in roadway and highway design, inspection, or construction.
- Basic proficiency in CAD, spreadsheets, technical writing, and interpreting design drawings.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and critical thinking skills.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- A self-motivated attitude and a willingness to learn from team members.
- Experience with Civil 3D or HEC-RAS is preferred.

- Compensation: $21.00 - $28.00 per hour, depending on experience and location.
