About the role#
This Marketing Writer position offers college students a chance to gain hands-on experience in a corporate mortgage environment. You will work 30 to 35 hours per week for an expected duration of 6 to 9 months. This role is an individual contributor position based on-site in Marlton, New Jersey.
What you'll do#
- Write new and update existing SEO-optimized content that focuses on the audience.
- Use research and data journalism to educate customers and build brand relationships.
- Present clear, accurate, and insightful content by gathering relevant perspectives.
- Learn and apply SEO best practices to all work.
- Maintain the brand voice, tone, and style across all materials.
- Fact-check and properly source all content before publication.
- Follow production and quality control processes to meet deadlines.
- Stay informed on industry news, AI tools, and content trends.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Journalism, English, Economics, Communications, or a related field.
- High School Graduate or GED.
- Less than one year of related work experience.
- Ability to research and write long-form articles on mortgage or financial topics.
- Skill in pitching new and interesting story angles.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively in team settings.
- Experience with writing through university involvement or prior work is preferred.
- Willingness to attend meetings and accept feedback from stakeholders.
