About the role#
The Program Director of Student Financial Aid oversees all financial aid activities, policies, and practices for the School of Nursing. This role ensures compliance with federal, state, and institutional regulations while managing the financial aid experience for students, parents, and faculty.
What you'll do#
- Coordinate and implement financial aid activities, including the awarding of scholarships and the Nursing Incentive Loan+ program.
- Complete federal, state, and institutional reports such as FISAP and IPEDS.
- Lead internal reconciliation efforts and work with auditors, program reviewers, and accreditation teams.
- Advise students, families, and high school counselors on budgeting, loan applications, and educational costs.
- Manage software access, create reports, and act as the liaison with the software vendor for online student and faculty services.
- Ensure institutional policies regarding financial aid, campus safety, and regulatory requirements are current and followed.
- Manage HR processes for student library workers and peer tutors, including hiring, orientation, and performance reviews.
- Participate in professional associations and attend conferences to maintain knowledge of financial aid practices.
What you'll need#
- A Bachelor's degree in Business or a related field.
- A Master's degree in Higher Education Administration, Student Counseling, or an MBA is preferred.
- Two years of experience in business management within a financial setting is preferred.
- Two years of experience in student financial aid or student services at a post-secondary level is preferred.
- NASFAA credentials are preferred within 24 months of hire.

- This is a full-time, on-site position based in Lafayette, Indiana.
- The role operates on a rolling basis.
