About the role#
The FOX News Media Internship Program provides hands-on experience at FOX Weather. You will work on real-world projects, participate in professional development sessions, and attend master classes to learn about the media industry. This is a paid, part-time internship based in New York City for the Winter 2027 term.
What you'll do#
Depending on your placement, you will contribute to the daily operations of the FOX Weather team. Responsibilities include:
- Pitch, research, and write stories for digital publication.
- Assist with weather-related research projects.
- Brainstorm social media content and monitor competitors for digital opportunities.
- Support the Newsgathering Desk by sourcing and producing live content.
- Help show teams with content development and production.
- Collaborate on weather graphics and research for daily broadcasts.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited college or university as a sophomore or higher.
- Pursuit of a degree in Communications, Media Studies, Journalism, or a related field.
- A strong academic record.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work well in a team and maintain a professional demeanor.
- A self-starter mindset and the ability to work in a deadline-driven environment.
- Knowledge of FOX programming and the broader media industry.

- Location: New York, New York.
- Term: Winter 2027 (February 8, 2027, to April 16, 2027).
- Work Modality: On-site.
- Schedule: 16 to 24 hours per week.
- Compensation: $20.00 per hour.
- Requirements: You must provide your own housing and transportation.
