About the role#
The Food & Beverage Intern joins the team at Riva Restaurant and Pool for the Summer 2027 season. This full-time internship runs from May 2027 through August 2027. You will support daily operations while gaining hands-on experience in a luxury hospitality environment.
What you'll do#
- Provide guests with food, beverage, water, and oshibori service.
- Assist guests with seating arrangements, spritzing, and towels at the pool.
- Maintain the pool and seating areas to ensure they remain clean and orderly.
- Handle towel management by delivering bins to and from laundry areas.
- Use hotel computer and phone systems to manage guest interactions.
- Support the team by filling in as a Server Assistant or Host/ess as needed.
- Respond to all guest interactions in a professional and efficient manner.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate program.
- Studies in Hospitality, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Valid work authorization for the United States.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Ability to operate computer systems and technology.
- A genuine interest in the hospitality industry.
- Three months of prior experience in customer service or hospitality is preferred.
Location & details#
- Location: Minneapolis, Minnesota.
- Work Modality: On-site.
- Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours per week with 8-10 hour shifts. Open availability Monday through Sunday is required.
- Compensation: $18.37 per hour plus tips.
- Benefits: Includes daily chef-inspired meals, parking discount, access to staff lounge and cafeteria, and 401(k) retirement plan. Uniforms and uniform care are provided.
