    About the role#

    Fortinet is seeking a Software Development Intern to join the GenAI team for a 2-month summer internship. This full-time, paid position focuses on the development and maintenance of AI-driven systems within a security-focused environment.

    What you'll do#

    • Develop and test components for FortiChat AI and Smart Assist systems.
    • Execute system integration across both cloud-based and on-premise environments.
    • Manage code updates using Source Control systems to maintain high code quality.
    • Troubleshoot and resolve issues in existing products.
    • Optimize and provide support for existing systems and documentation.

    What you'll need#

    • Pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering.
    • Experience with system integration in cloud and on-premise environments.
    • Knowledge of code management practices using Source Control systems.
    • Experience troubleshooting and resolving technical issues in software products.
    • Ability to optimize and support existing technical documentation and systems.

    • Location: Santa Clara, California, United States.
    • Modality: On-site.
    • Term: Summer 2026 (2 months).
    • Compensation: $35-45 USD per hour.
