    About the role#

    Fortinet is seeking a Software Development Intern to join the GenAI team for a 2-month summer internship in 2026. This is a full-time, paid, on-site position based in Santa Clara, California.

    What you'll do#

    • Develop and test components for FortiChat AI and Smart Assist systems.
    • Manage code updates using Source Control systems to maintain code quality.
    • Optimize and support existing systems and documentation.
    • Troubleshoot and resolve issues within current products.
    • Execute system integration tasks across both cloud-based and on-premise environments.

    What you'll need#

    • Current enrollment in a Computer Science or Computer Engineering program.
    • Ability to work on-site in Santa Clara, CA.
    • Strong interest in GenAI and system integration.

    • Location: Santa Clara, California
    • Term: Summer 2026 (2 months)
    • Modality: On-site
    • Compensation: $35 - $45 per hour
