About the role#
This part-time, year-long internship provides hands-on experience in the operations of a large non-profit organization. You will gain insight into how the ministry functions while supporting daily administrative and financial tasks. This role focuses on developing your professional skills while you contribute to the mission and values of Forest Hill Church.
What you'll do#
- Execute donor communication strategies.
- Oversee volunteers responsible for processing weekend offerings.
- Help manage the employee expense platform.
- Assist with the execution of the child protection program.
- Provide care and support for volunteers.
- Prepare for and participate in monthly Round Table meetings to learn about specific ministry focuses.
- Attend weekly department ministry meetings and monthly staff meetings.
- Ensure that all tasks and activities make the best use of time, money, and resources.
What you'll need#
- High School diploma or equivalent (pursuit of post-secondary education is preferred).
- Familiarity with Microsoft Excel.
- Strong written communication skills and a relational approach to work.
- A Christ-centered life characterized by integrity and authenticity.
- Ability to handle sensitive situations with discretion and professionalism.
- Compassion, empathy, and respect for others.
- A clear passion for serving the local church.
