About the role#
Student Assistants provide administrative and clerical support to faculty, staff, and administrators across the campus. You will handle daily office tasks, assist visitors, and help with departmental operations to keep the office running smoothly.
What you'll do#
- Answer phone calls and emails, directing inquiries to the right person.
- Greet visitors and provide general information.
- File, organize documents, and maintain records.
- Prepare and proofread reports, memos, and presentations.
- Assist students, faculty, and staff with basic questions.
- Set up for departmental events, workshops, and meetings.
- Manage office supplies and inventory.
- Schedule meetings and assist with basic troubleshooting for office equipment or software.
What you'll need#
- You must be a full-time student at Florida Memorial University.
- A cumulative GPA of 2.0 or higher is required.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Google Workspace.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- A reliable, punctual, and positive attitude.

- This position is located in Miami Gardens, Florida.
- The role is on-site.
- This is a paid, part-time position with flexible hours, typically up to 15 to 20 hours per week.
