About the role#
The Biomedical Engineering department at Florida International University is hiring a Student Research Assistant. This is a temporary, part-time position located at the Engineering Center in Miami. You will work up to 20 hours per week.
What you'll do#
- Collect and process research data, and write reports.
- Coordinate lab organizations and manage clinical data.
- Maintain the research website and assist with clinical experiments.
- Organize minutes for group meetings.
- Work with staff in a collaborative team environment.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as an FIU student, with at least six credits for undergraduates or three credits for graduate students during the Fall and Spring semesters.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suites.
- Experience with PC operations and software such as PantherSoft and Salesforce.
- Ability to solve problems and work independently.
- Clear verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational and time-management habits.
- A high sense of responsibility and customer service skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality regarding sensitive information.
- Completion of FIU Service Excellence training, either prior to starting or within your first 30 days.
Location & details#
- Location: Engineering Center, Miami, Florida.
- Pay: $15.00 to $20.00 per hour.
- Note: This appointment may be subject to a pre-employment criminal background check.
