About the role#
The COB Chapman Graduate School is looking for a student to join the Global Recruitment and Operations team. You will provide administrative support and assist with various events and activities across the College of Business. This role is a Federal Work Study position with hours that vary based on your class schedule and department needs.
What you'll do#
- Provide customer service to prospective and current students via email, phone, and in-person interactions.
- Handle administrative tasks including telephone coverage, mail handling, and copier projects.
- Answer inquiries and document calls for international applicants.
- Assist with the planning and execution of recruitment events, open houses, and seminars.
- Provide prospective students with information regarding requirements and deadlines.
- Scan and link documents to the ImageNow system.
- Update student applications in PantherSoft and CRM systems.
- Qualify leads based on academic credentials and professional background, then connect them with recruiters.
- Create and manage cases for leads within the CRM system.
- Assist with pulling student data for program records and rankings.
- Create and maintain study abroad application portals.
- Design and develop marketing materials for study abroad programs.
- Oversee follow-up for international recruitment event leads and manage Office of Global Initiatives social media.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment at FIU with a minimum of six credit hours.
- An active Federal Work Study (FWS) award as part of your Financial Aid package.
- Enrollment in a course of study leading to a degree or a Financial Aid eligible certificate.
- Note: FWS employment must end upon graduation, cancellation of the award, or if credit hours drop below the minimum.
Location & details#
- Location: Modesto A. Maidique Campus, Miami, Florida.
- Pay: $15.00 per hour.
- This position may be subject to a pre-employment background check, including a review for cash handling duties.
