About the role#
Florida International University is hiring Student Office Assistants to support day-to-day operations within the College of Nursing and Health Sciences. This is a paid, on-site position. Hours vary based on your class schedule and the needs of the department.
What you'll do#
- Assist staff with daily operations and office tasks.
- Provide general information to visitors and callers.
- Handle errands and filing.
- Answer and route phone calls.
- Provide direct assistance to students, faculty, and staff.
What you'll need#
- You must be a student currently enrolled at FIU.
- You must have been awarded Federal Work Study (FWS) as part of your Financial Aid Award package.
- You must maintain enrollment of at least six credit hours during the Fall, Spring, and Summer semesters.
- Ability to communicate effectively.
- Strong customer service skills and a high sense of responsibility.
- Proficiency with PC operations and standard software.
- Ability to work well in a team environment.
Location & details#
- Location: Modesto A. Maidique Campus, Miami, Florida.
- Pay: $15.00 per hour.
- Work modality: On-site.
- Note: FWS employment must end upon graduation.
