About the role#
The Institute of Environment at Florida International University is hiring a student assistant to support our team. This position is part of the Federal Work Study program. You will work on-site at the Biscayne Bay Campus. Your hours will depend on your class schedule and the needs of the department.
What you'll do#
- Assist with daily clerical tasks including answering phones, computing, and data entry.
- Provide basic help to researchers in a lab setting.
- Clean lab glassware and maintain inventory.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a student at Florida International University.
- An active Federal Work Study (FWS) award as part of your Financial Aid package.
- Enrollment in at least six credit hours in a degree-seeking program or a Financial Aid eligible certificate.
- Ability to maintain eligibility throughout the Fall, Spring, and Summer semesters.
Location & details#
- Location: Biscayne Bay Campus, Miami, Florida.
- Pay: $15.00 per hour.
- Employment is subject to a pre-employment background check.
- This role is part-time and requires the student to maintain their FWS award status to remain employed.
