About the role#
The Center for Academic Success is looking for Student Front Desk Assistants to join our team. This is an on-site, paid position based at the Modesto A. Maidique Campus. You will work up to 20 hours per week, with shifts available Monday through Friday between 8:30am and 8:00pm. Your specific schedule will be coordinated to accommodate your classes.
What you'll do#
- Provide customer service to students and visitors.
- Answer and direct phone calls, voicemails, and e-mails.
- Maintain tutor schedules and student appointments.
- Assist with test registrations and review the daily testing calendar.
- Handle administrative tasks, including copying, faxing, and filing paperwork.
- Implement and maintain administrative policies and procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as an FIU student.
- Minimum of six credits for undergraduates or three credits for graduate students during the Fall and Spring semesters.
- Customer service knowledge.
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Word.
- Ability to follow direction and work independently.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive information.

- Location: Modesto A. Maidique Campus, Miami, Florida.
- Pay: $15.00 per hour.
- Employment type: Temporary, part-time.
