About the role#
The SIPA Dean's Office at Florida International University is hiring a Student Office Assistant. This role supports the daily operations of the office and serves as a point of contact for general information. This is a paid, on-site position with hours that vary based on your class schedule and department needs.
What you'll do#
- Assist staff with daily operations
- Provide general information to visitors and callers
- Handle basic data entry tasks
- Manage filing and document organization
- Make copies as needed
- Run office errands
- Complete the FIU Service Excellence training
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment at FIU with a minimum of six credit hours
- A Federal Work Study (FWS) award as part of your Financial Aid package
- Strong communication skills
- A high sense of responsibility and customer service orientation
- Proficiency with PC operations and standard software
- The ability to work well in a team environment

- Location: Modesto A. Maidique Campus, Miami, Florida
- Work Modality: On-site
- Compensation: $15.00 per hour
- Employment Status: This position requires an active Federal Work Study award. Employment must end if your credit hours drop below the minimum, if your award is canceled, or upon graduation.
