About the role#
The Physics Department at Florida International University is hiring a Student Office Assistant. This position supports our team with daily administrative tasks. It is an on-site role based at the Modesto A. Maidique Campus.
What you'll do#
- Perform basic data entry tasks.
- Manage filing and document copies.
- Run errands as needed.
- Attend FIU Service Excellence training.
- Complete training for Microsoft Word, Outlook, and PantherSoft.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment at FIU with at least six credit hours in a degree or eligible certificate program.
- An active Federal Work Study (FWS) award as part of your Financial Aid package.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- A high sense of responsibility and the ability to work well in a team.
- Knowledge of PC operations and standard software.
Location & details#
- Location: Modesto A. Maidique Campus, Miami, FL.
- Pay: $15.00 per hour.
- Schedule: Hours vary based on your class schedule and department needs.
- Status: This is a part-time position. Employment must end if your credit hours drop, your award is canceled, or you graduate.
