About the role#
The Department of Student Media at Florida International University is seeking a Staff Photographer to join the PantherNOW team. This role is a student assistant position that involves capturing imagery for PantherNOW and the PantherNOW website.
What you'll do#
- Capture high-quality photographs for PantherNOW and PantherNOW.com.
- Write accurate and descriptive captions for all submitted photos.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as an FIU student.
- Minimum of six credits for undergraduate students or three credits for graduate students during Fall and Spring semesters.
- Proficiency in photography.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to tell stories and ask effective questions.
- Experience working within a team environment.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Word, Google Docs, and Google Drive.
Location & details#
- Location: Modesto A. Maidique Campus, Miami, Florida.
- Compensation: $15.00 per hour.
- Work schedule: Hours vary based on class schedule and departmental needs.
- Employment status: This is a temporary student appointment that may be subject to a background check.
