About the role#
The Green Library Administration Office is looking for a student assistant to help with daily operations and provide general information to the university community. This is a temporary, part-time position open to students with a Federal Work Study award.
What you'll do#
- Assist staff with day-to-day office operations.
- Provide general information and support to students, faculty, and staff.
- Handle administrative tasks such as filing, completing errands, and routing phone calls.
- Create digital content, including PowerPoint slides, to showcase library technologies and services.
- Use video and still cameras for imaging and editing projects.
- Follow technical guidelines to load and display content on digital signage.
What you'll need#
- Must be an FIU student awarded Federal Work Study (FWS) as part of your financial aid package.
- Enrollment in at least six credit hours during the Fall, Spring, and Summer semesters.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- A high sense of responsibility and the ability to work well within a team.
- Proficiency with PC operations and standard software.
Location & details#
- Location: Modesto A. Maidique Campus, Miami, Florida.
- Pay: $15.00 per hour.
- Schedule: Hours vary based on your class schedule and departmental needs.
- Note: This appointment may be subject to a pre-employment background check. Employment must end if your credit hours decrease below the minimum, your FWS award is canceled, or upon graduation.
