About the role#
This internship provides administrative support for research and review projects within the Quality Management department of the Institute for Community Health and Wellness. The department oversees five Care Management programs, managing performance for 22 community-based organizations and serving over 25,000 individuals.
What you'll do#
- Collect and prepare data relevant to departmental operations.
- Assist in studies to evaluate the efficiency, economy, and effectiveness of hospital policies, procedures, and operations.
- Support management in the facilitation of new programs and procedures.
- Perform additional related administrative duties as required.
What you'll need#
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor's degree program in Health Administration, Public Health, Business Administration, or a related healthcare field.
- Prior administrative experience in a hospital setting is preferred.

- Location: Hybrid role based in Melville, New York.
- Term: Summer 2026 (June through August).
- Schedule: Part-time.
- Note: This is an unpaid internship. No stipend is provided for lodging, travel, or meal expenses.
