About the role#
This is a full-time, paid internship based in Lewistown, Pennsylvania. You will work on-site to gain hands-on experience by supporting manufacturing operations and process engineering teams. You will contribute to real projects that impact production results and gain exposure to various departments including product development, quality assurance, and maintenance.
What you'll do#
- Collaborate with the process engineering team to support daily production needs and special projects.
- Lead an internal process improvement project to increase efficiency, reduce waste, and minimize variability.
- Provide technical support and direction to crews and maintenance staff.
- Assist with material trials and process improvements alongside the product development and quality assurance teams.
- Maintain and audit Good Run documentation to ensure process conditions are clearly defined for operators.
- Monitor manufacturing metrics such as equipment reliability, speed, scrap rates, and cost improvements.
- Ensure all activities comply with OSHA standards and company procedures.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in or completion of a Bachelor degree in a related field.
- A minimum 3.0 GPA.
- Between 0 and 3 years of experience, including relevant academic projects.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize work effectively.
- Authorization to work in the United States.
