About the role#
Fintech is hiring a Data Engineering Intern to join our team in Tampa. You will support our analytics and data platform initiatives by building and maintaining data pipelines. This role involves working with engineers and analysts to create reliable, scalable data solutions while improving overall data quality.
What you'll do#
- Build and maintain data pipelines.
- Support analytics and data platform projects.
- Perform simple data transformations and create reports.
- Run ETL processes and data validation tasks.
- Document data quality and maintain organized records.
- Use Apache Superset for basic data visualization.
- Learn about financial data and transaction processing.
What you'll need#
- Current student or recent graduate with a degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, or a related field.
- Up to one year of experience, preferably in Data or BI.
- Basic skills in SQL and Python.
- Knowledge of data concepts and terminology.
- Familiarity with Azure Data Lake and Databricks.
- Attention to detail and a willingness to learn complex technical concepts.
