About the role#
Figure is looking for an Electrical Engineering Intern to join our team in San Jose for the Fall 2026 term. You will work on the hardware components that power our autonomous humanoid robots.
What you'll do#
- Design and test PCBA sections, including power distribution boards, battery management systems, motor controllers, and computer boards.
- Review design artifacts like schematics, layouts, and bills of materials from team members and external suppliers.
- Assist with system integration by running tests and diagnosing hardware problems.
What you'll need#
- You are a senior undergraduate or a recent graduate in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- You have solid EE fundamentals and hands-on experience building and testing PCBAs.
- You are comfortable with EDA tools, preferably Altium for schematics and layout.
- You have experience with power electronics like motor drivers and switch mode power supplies.
- You have worked with digital electronics including MCU, FPGA, Ethernet, USB, SPI, and I2C.
- You have experience with analog electronics such as filters and ADC/DAC.
- You have strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Bonus points if you have experience with LTspice, Python, Matlab, embedded programming, or basic mechanical design.
Location & details#
- This is an on-site role based in San Jose, California.
- The internship requires a minimum commitment of 10 weeks.
- This is a full-time, paid position with a pay range of $40 to $45 per hour.
