About the role#
Feyen Zylstra is seeking a Construction Project Management Intern for our Grand Rapids office. This 14-week summer program provides hands-on experience in electrical and low voltage systems construction. You will work within our Electrical Construction department, balancing daily tasks with a specific project assigned for the duration of the summer.
What you'll do#
- Support Project Managers with daily administrative duties and project documentation.
- Handle quality documentation and assist with pricing change orders.
- Shadow Assistant Project Managers and Project Managers to observe their workflow.
- Participate in jobsite visits to see our operations firsthand.
- Gain knowledge of project management fundamentals including contracts, jobsite safety, change orders, and budgets.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a bachelor degree program, specifically in Construction Management. Incoming Junior or Senior status for the Fall 2027 semester is preferred.
- Proficiency in MS Office software.
- Ability to work on-site 40 hours per week from May to August 2027.
- A passing result on a pre-employment drug screen.
- Experience with Bluebeam or Accubid is considered an advantage.
- Previous work experience in construction, customer service, or a prior management internship is preferred.
