About the role#
As a Project Management Intern, you will support the successful completion of construction projects. You will assist the project management team with planning, scheduling, and financial controls from the initial project hand-off through final close-out. This role provides exposure to the full lifecycle of commercial concrete and earthwork projects.
What you'll do#
- Organize and plan for the safe and efficient execution of assigned projects.
- Assist in maintaining financial controls and tracking the profit and loss of projects.
- Help develop and maintain project schedules.
- Collaborate with the project management team to estimate, price, and negotiate project costs.
- Work alongside Superintendents and Estimating teams to ensure project collaboration.
- Support department initiatives and solve problems as they arise using available resources.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a degree program for Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Proficiency with computers and basic software programs.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to solve problems and adapt your working style to collaborate with different individuals.
Location & details#
- Location: Smyrna, Tennessee.
- Modality: On-site.
- This is a paid, full-time internship with a rolling term.
- Light travel between the office and various job sites may be required.
- You will work in both office and field settings, which may include exposure to varying temperatures, noise, heights, and confined spaces.
