About the role#
The Project Management Intern will support the construction team in the successful completion of projects from initial hand-off through final close-out. This role involves assisting with project planning, resource allocation, and technical direction to ensure compliance with quality standards. You will work across both office and field settings, which may include exposure to various environmental conditions such as heights, confined spaces, and outdoor weather.
What you'll do#
- Organize and plan for the safe and efficient execution of assigned projects.
- Assist in maintaining financial controls and monitoring project profit and loss.
- Help develop and maintain the project schedule.
- Collaborate with the project management team to estimate, price, and negotiate project costs.
- Coordinate with Superintendents and the estimating team to facilitate project collaboration.
- Assist with department initiatives and solve problems as they arise using available resources.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a degree program for Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Business Administration, Environmental Engineering, Architecture, or Industrial Engineering.
- Proficiency with computers and basic software programs.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proven problem-solving abilities with an adaptable and flexible work style.
