About the role#
Federal Signal Corporation is hiring a part-time Integration Technician Intern to work at our University Park, Illinois facility. This role supports our systems engineering and field service teams through hands-on technical testing and configuration.
What you'll do#
- Conduct acceptance testing by reading systems drawings and wiring AC/DC power and simulation equipment.
- Configure systems equipment, load firmware, and modify IP addresses.
- Develop system test procedures and perform software integration.
- Confirm that engineered systems meet customer design specifications and follow established test regimes.
- Ensure all work adheres to correct documentation revisions and mark-ups.
- Provide first-line internal support for field service and commissioning activities.
- Assist the engineering team with the design, documentation, and testing of new products.
- Participate in commissioning engineer training programs and assist with system demonstrations.
What you'll need#
- You must be an undergraduate junior or senior pursuing a bachelor’s degree in electronics, electrical technology, industrial technology, computer technology, engineering technology, or a related technical field.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools, specifically Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- You must be a local candidate, as we do not provide relocation or housing assistance.

- This position is located on-site in University Park, Illinois.
- This is a part-time internship with a wage of $22.00 per hour.
