About the role#
Farm Credit East offers a summer internship for students to gain hands-on experience in the financial services industry. You will spend time across various departments, including credit, tax and accounting, appraisal, and crop insurance. This role involves working alongside professionals to support our customers throughout the Northeast. You will also complete a strategic project and present your findings to the executive leadership team.
What you'll do#
- Complete an assigned strategic project and deliver a final presentation to company leaders.
- Assist with tasks across multiple departments such as credit, tax, accounting, appraisal, and crop insurance.
- Join customer visits and shadow staff members to learn about our services.
- Travel to different regions within the Farm Credit East territory.
What you'll need#
- You are currently finishing your junior year with an expected graduation date in December 2027 or May 2028.
- You hold a minimum GPA of 3.0.
- You are pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Agriculture, Agri-Business, Accounting, Economics, Finance, Business, or a related field.
Location & details#
- This is a paid, full-time internship for Summer 2026.
- Work is on-site at one of our locations: Batavia, Claverack, Cooperstown, Geneva, or Greenwich, New York; St. Albans or Middlebury, Vermont; Enfield, Connecticut; or Auburn, Maine.
