About the role#
The Engineering Utilities Intern joins the maintenance and engineering team to support plant optimization. You will work directly with the engineering staff to improve existing and incoming utility structures. This role focuses on data-driven improvements through observation and standardized procedures.
What you'll do#
- Conduct time studies and direct observations to standardize processes.
- Perform utility mapping, system audits, and optimization tasks.
- Read, interpret, and design process system drawings.
- Manage projects and analyze operational process flows.
- Report on production data and prioritize improvement projects.
- Ensure all work complies with food safety and quality standards.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a four-year undergraduate degree program, entering the Fall semester as a senior.
- Preferred major in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering.
- A cumulative GPA of 3.0/4.0 or higher.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work in an environment with shifting priorities.

- Location: Goodyear, Arizona.
- Term: Summer 2027 (May 24 through August 10).
- Modality: Full-time, on-site.
- Physical requirements: Ability to lift up to 30 lbs and spend time sitting, standing, walking, or climbing stairs.
