About the role#
As a Software Development Engineer Intern, you will join our Summer 2027 program to work on hands-on projects. You will collaborate with experienced engineers to design and build scalable systems. This role is based in San Jose, California, and offers a 12-week experience where you will contribute to products that support our global goals.
What you'll do#
- Contribute to real-world projects and the development cycle of products.
- Work with peers to design, implement, and test code in a collaborative environment.
- Analyze requirements, test features, and integrate components into applications.
- Create technical documentation for new features and designs.
- Participate in design and code reviews to learn best practices.
- Collaborate with your project team to explore and develop data-driven solutions.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or related fields at an accredited U.S. college or university.
- At least two additional quarters or semesters of school remaining after the internship concludes.
- Demonstrated experience programming in an object-oriented language such as Python, Go, Java, C#, or C.
- Foundational knowledge in computer science, specifically data structures and algorithms.
- No more than 2 years of full-time professional tech industry experience in a similar role.
- Preferred experience includes systems and scripting (Linux, Shell), infrastructure and DevOps (CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes), and research applications like AI/ML.
Location & details#
- Location: San Jose, California.
- Modality: Hybrid. Employees within 30 miles of the office must work onsite at least 30 business days per quarter.
- Term: 12-week summer internship in 2027.
- Compensation: $42 to $55 per hour.
- Status: Full-time.
