About the role#
As a co-op student in the People Advisory Services (PAS) Rewards practice, you will join our actuarial team to support pension, benefits, and compensation consulting. You will work on technical aspects of engagements, helping our clients make informed HR-related decisions. This role involves working within a multi-disciplinary team of actuaries, lawyers, and tax professionals to provide specialized solutions for both Canadian and global clients.
What you'll do#
- Participate in client engagements for pension and benefits actuarial services or compensation consulting.
- Apply technical knowledge and project management skills to ensure high-quality work products.
- Maintain the confidential and proprietary nature of all client relationships and work-related products.
- Enhance your technical skills by staying current on pension and employee benefits concepts and trends.
- Ensure client needs are met while working on complex technical actuarial tasks.
What you'll need#
- Pursuit of an undergraduate or graduate degree in actuarial science, mathematics, or statistics.
- Credit for one or more Actuarial Examination is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and handle pressure.
- Demonstrated organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- A commitment to integrity within a professional environment.
- Previous experience with a pension consulting firm is an asset.
- Fluency in French is considered an asset.
