Paid Training - Nursing Assistant Student - Long Term Care

About the role#

This position offers paid training for individuals interested in beginning a career in the medical field. As a Nursing Assistant Student, you will receive training to earn your Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification. Upon passing the certification exam, you will be promoted to a CNA role with an associated pay increase.

What you'll do#

• Work as part of a self-directed, cross-trained team at the Oak Crossing long-term care facility.
• Provide direct resident care and support housekeeping, laundry, dietary, and activity functions.
• Follow facility policies, procedures, and programs to maintain standards.
• Utilize a holistic approach to coordinate resident-centered care in a home-like environment.

What you'll need#

• No specific educational requirements.
• Must register as a CNA with the state of Minnesota within 4 months of hire.
• Previous experience in a healthcare setting and an interest in long-term care are preferred.

Location & details#

• Location: Detroit Lakes, Minnesota.
• Work Modality: On-site.
• Schedule: Full-time with day, evening, and night shift rotations, including every other weekend and holidays.
