About the role#
This position offers paid training for individuals interested in starting a career in the medical field. You will work at Oak Crossing, a long-term care facility in Detroit Lakes. Essentia Health covers the cost of your training to become a Certified Nursing Assistant. Upon passing your certification exam, you will be promoted to a CNA role with a pay increase.
What you'll do#
You will work as part of a self-directed, cross-trained team. You will receive training in direct resident care, housekeeping, laundry, dietary, and activity functions. Your work will follow facility policies and programs. You will take a holistic approach to coordinate resident care in a home-like environment.
What you'll need#
- No formal educational requirements.
- You must register as a CNA with the state of Minnesota within 4 months of your hire date.
- Prior experience in a healthcare setting is preferred.
- An interest in long-term care is preferred.

- Location: Detroit Lakes, Minnesota.
- Modality: On-site.
- Schedule: Includes rotating day, evening, and night shifts with work every other weekend and holidays.
