Pharmacy Intern King Lincoln

About the role#

The Pharmacy Intern at King Lincoln assists the Pharmacy Manager and pharmacists with daily pharmacy operations. This role focuses on patient recruitment and retention, specifically supporting patients of the Equitas Health Medical Center and 340B contracted providers. Interns work under the direction of a supervising pharmacist to provide clinical services and ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements.

What you'll do#

• Collaborate with medical providers and staff to optimize health outcomes for clinic patients.
• Provide patient consultations to ensure understanding of therapeutic regimens and medication administration.
• Deliver specialized pharmaceutical services, including adherence programs, disease management, and immunizations as allowed by law.
• Build in-pharmacy clinical services to improve patient outcomes and increase referrals in a cost-effective manner.
• Coordinate with case managers and support staff to ensure patient access and adherence to medication regimens.
• Market pharmacy clinical services to medical offices and patients within the service area.

What you'll need#

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Current enrollment in an accredited Pharmacy program.
• Valid Ohio pharmacy intern license in good standing.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other required computer applications.
• Reliable transportation, a valid driver’s license, and proof of auto insurance.
• Sensitivity to and competence in working with diverse populations, including LGBTQ+ communities and those affected by HIV/AIDS.
