About the role#
The Pharmacy Intern assists the Pharmacy Manager and pharmacists in daily operations at the Equitas Health Pharmacy. This role focuses on patient recruitment and retention, particularly for patients of the Equitas Health Medical Center and 340B contracted providers. You will maintain compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements of pharmacy practice while engaging with medical providers to share pharmaceutical information.
What you'll do#
- Provide customer service to patients, providers, community members, and referral sources.
- Collaborate with medical center staff to optimize health outcomes for clinic patients.
- Consult with patients under the direction of a supervising pharmacist to explain therapeutic regimens, administration, side effects, and allergic precautions.
- Work with the pharmacist team to build clinical services that increase patient health outcomes and referrals.
- Complete other duties as assigned by the Pharmacy Manager or Director of Pharmacy Services.
What you'll need#
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Enrollment in an accredited Pharmacy program.
- An Ohio pharmacy intern license in good standing.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Knowledge of the health and social service needs of persons with HIV/AIDS.

- This is a paid, full-time, on-site role with rolling start dates.
